The Ruby Belvedere Concorde
Once again I’m smitten with an inanimate object. As soon as I entered Moto Central (www.RubyHelmets.co.uk) in Hinckley I saw the Ruby helmets and had to have one. Carbon fibre, guaranteed for life and supplied with three visors. The black visor doesn’t look right without a laser rifle so I’ve gone with tinted for now. Tidy
I am going through my office and filling a sack with crap. I’m using the last couple of hours tucked away at the end of a Sunday to prolong the weekend and fend off the beginning of a new week.I am using this as a tidy guide. Posted via email from Documental.ly | Comment »

Bilderberg 2010
When I travelled to Spain earlier this month and was detained on entry at immigration, a small tin hat wearing voice in my head thought it may have something to do with a secret meeting that happens every year.. and this year in Sitges, Spain.I didn’t want to say anything at the time as I was unsure of the dates and I didn’t want to be seen as a crackpot, paranoid, Big Brother fearing,...
Valencia’s Oceanografic: Europe’s Biggest Aquarium
See the full gallery on posterous When i visited Valencia’s Oceanografic yesterday I made the mistake of only having a 20mm lens on my Panasonic GH1. It makes the camera super portable but not so good at capturing many of the thousands of species on display. A longer lens would have come in super handy for capturing the dolphins, especially in film. Still there was much to see and here...
Hard Life (Spanish Style)
(3442 KB) Watch on posterous After a chaotic first day of the holiday I’ve really managed to relax. I must remember this as on my return work soon takes over and it’s easy to forget that you had any rest at all. Posted via email from Documental.ly | Comment »

Pretty Damn Hot
It’s too hot to do anything much here in Spain. I’m staying out of the sun although my solar panel is outside baking/charging and being damn useful. There’s very little solar tech visible on the houses round here. They really are missing a trick. The only people really utilizing solar technology are non-locals. There is a Norwegan guy on the hill near where I am staying who...

Scortchio
Just had breakfast on the porch and it’s already suitably hot enough to sweat into my cerial. Today’s plan of action is initially to do little. Maybe hang round the pool. Big lunch. Whittle a chess set. Then bin the chess set as I realise I have chess on my ipad. Later this afternoon/eve head to the local bar with my mate Steve and grab tapas & beer before the England game comes...

Gowalla Is My Alibi
I woke this morning thinking of the rediculous demands of the Spanish authorities in asking me to check into my local police station so they can record my whereabouts. I’m hardly at the address I gave. All they need do is follow me on Gowalla and they’ll know where I am with pinpoint accuracy, in realtime. That said, I did check into the local police station. And the not so local...

Not Your Normal Holiday..
The policeman looked at my documents, not quite sure what to do with me. He was not the first confused policeman of the day. On entering Spain yesterday I was told I had to contact the Barcelona police headquarters urgently. It appears I am on some kind of list and have to tell them what I am doing and where I am going. Immigration looked like they were about to go on lunch and did not really...
This Is My Lawyer
This has been the most surreal beginning to a holiday since I landed in Gambia during a coup d’état.. (ask @DaveEwington for more info on that.) After an uneventful flight with family and friends, on arrival into Valencia airport I was stopped at passport control. On the whole this is not totally unusual as I’ve a habit of being detained due to a strange travel history and my...

Downtime
Don’t be surprised if you hear nothing from me over the next week or so. Ok.. You will no doubt see the occational tweet but I’m well overdue some downtime so I’m dialing things down a few notches. Should be easy as tomorrow I’m heading out to the back of beyond and last time I was there one bar of mobile signal required a tree climb. Posted via email from Christian...
The Prime Minister And The Economy
Today at the Open University David Cameron introduced the country to the seriousness of the financial situation we are currently in. Some hung on his every word. Some switched off.
